Employee of the Month

Candy Abbott, the Deputy Personal Property Assessor in the Delaware County Assessor’s Office is the Employee of the Month for February. Candy is a dedicated Level II Certified Indiana Assessor-Appraiser with 32 years of exemplary service to the county, originally starting as a commissary clerk in the Delaware County Jail. Known for her exceptional professionalism, work ethic, and positive attitude, Candy is a team player who fosters collaboration and supports her colleagues in every situation. Her empathy, patience, and outstanding communication skills have earned consistent praise from both the public and coworkers. A true leader and role model, Candy's dedication and contributions have made a lasting impact on the workplace and community.

Outside of work, Candy has been married 36 years to her high school sweetheart and has 3 adult children and one grandchild.  She loves to play euchre and golf and hanging out with her family is her favorite activity.

Her exceptional professionalism, work ethic, and positive attitude are tremendous assets to our workplace and community.
