Vital Records
The Vital Records Division provides public access to vital records including birth certificates and death certificates. Payment options are cash, check and money order only.
Please note the following:
-Photo ID is required for all records.
-Personal checks will not be accepted.
-Not all states accept the wallet size birth certificate for legal purposes.
-Some services require appointments.
-All services are available in-person, in our office located at 125 N. Mulberry St in downtown Muncie, 1 block East of the Delaware County Building. Some records are available by mail as well. Please call our office if you have any questions. Applications and payments submitted electronically will be rejected, delaying your certificate request.
